890
Series Densitometers
The control strip is automatically fed through the 890 unit, which
then takes all the measurements and sorts, calculates and displays
the data. It takes only seconds to measure and display all required
values such as Dmax, HD, LD, etc. The IO-presets include most
minilab printers, desktop PC’s, spreadsheet programs and
QC systems provided by Agfa, Fuji, Kodak, Konica, Noritsu and
others for convenient, on-site process monitoring. The unit provides
three storage channels, each one storing the measurement from
the last strip read. It includes an RS-232 interface that can
be customized for nearly any baud rate of data format for fast
data output. Model 891 offers all the same features as the 890,
plus it measures and stores reference strip values. It then automatically
performs all the calculations to derive reference aim values.
It handles other error-prone calculations such as crossover values,
aim value adjustments, and application of correction factors.
It includes nine storage channels, each one holding up to 16 strips.
Model 892 contains the features mentioned above, plus it handles
the E-6 process. The densitometer measures and calculates control
strip values and it can compute internegative balance and exposure
adjustments. This feature will speed up the turn-around on slide-to-print
orders.

DTP32R
and DTP32TR Automatic Strip-reading Densitometers
The DTP32R is a reflection only automatic strip reading densitometer
for color printers, or copiers. It is also used to automate
the calibration of polyester platesetting systems. It is simple
to use. Just connect it to a Macintosh, IBM, Sun or SGI computer,
print a test image from your calibration software, and scan
it with the DTP32 to maintain consistent color levels from day
to day. The DTP32TR will work with both film and color print
measurements. It measures status T and ISO visual density and
dot area from films, polyester plates and proofing materials.

DTP36
Automatic Strip-reading Densitometer for Calibration of Color
Photographic Systems
The X-Rite DTP36 color auto scanning densitometer is designed
to automate the calibration and control of systems using color
photographic materials. Applications include film recorders and
photographic processing for both transparencies and prints. The
ISO Status A response facilitates the calibration of slide film,
transparency and print imaging systems. It can also read photographic
processor control strips for film and paper processing systems.

DTP41
Series II Autoscan Spectrophotometer
The DTP41 Series II is ideal for color calibration,
color process control or color management. It utilizes spectral
technology to measure color with unsurpassed accuracy, and provides
the most precise and detailed description of color. By measuring
color with spectral technology, the DTP41 is able to offer a
host of functions including density or colorimetry functions.
The DTP41 Series II offers a UV model for use with fluorescent
paper brighteners commonly found in proofing papers. Reducing
the fluorescent effect from the brighteners, the UV model will
assure accurate color measurement on these media. The transmission
model offers dual reflection and transmission capability which
is an extremely versatile tool for a variety of applications
including photo transparencies, research and testing.
