Lighting Systems for Color Evaluation and Comparison

CRD Color Rendition Demonstrator

This portable three-compartment viewer simultaneously demonstrates the color rendition of D5000, fluorescent and incandescent lighting on "identical" prints or color samples and visually shows how the same color can vary depending on the light source under which it is evaluated or viewed.

MM-1e and MM-2e MiniMatcher

These compact three-light source viewing systems are for the inspection and color discrimination of inks, paints, plastics, textiles, paper, colorants, and other colored materials under distinct light sources, ideal for use with coatings, printing and packaging, advertising and graphic design.

MM-4e with Multiple Light Sources

This compact five-light source viewing system is for the inspection and color discrimination of inks, paints, plastics, textiles, paper, colorants, and other colored materials under distinct light sources, and is ideal for use with coatings, printing and packaging, advertising and graphic design.

CMB Critical Color Inspection Booths

These inspection booths include five light sources, providingdissimilar sources of illumination for color evaluation under different lighting conditions: artificial daylight, store light, home light, ultraviolet light and an optional source (D50, 30U, TL84, TL83, Horizon).

Multi-Light Source Luminaires

Overhead luminaires optimize accurate color viewing and evaluation in large work areas. These standardized light sources are included: artificial daylight, store light, home light and ultraviolet light, as well as an additional optional source on model GLE-M5/32.

Portable Multi-Source Viewing System

A four-light source unit perfect for client presentations, for lab applications or to take anywhere color is critically viewed. The PDV-2e/M complies with ASTM D1729 standards and is an essential tool for visual color assessment, for comparison of color variations and to detect metamerism.

Textile Appearance Viewing System

The VPI/T is designed for the textile industry to provide accurate AATCC Standard viewing conditions for the evaluation of creases, smoothness and seam stitches, as well as oily stain evaluation. It is available in two standard sizes and with sidewalls for stricter control of ambient light.

Color Harmony Inspection System

This multi-angle viewing system on casters was developed specifically for the automotive industry for “Color Harmony Audits." It includes three separately controlled dual intensity Hi Rendition Daylight (D65) luminaires for color evaluation of exterior coatings and accessories.

Replacement D6500 Lamps

In order to assure excellent color rendition and tight tolerance to industry standards and visual agreement, GTI produces the ColorMatcher brand of lamps. These lamps have exceptional color rendering properties and provide consistent, accurate D65 color quality. Implement a relamping schedule.

ASTM D1729-96 Viewing Standard

The color and appearance of materials is dependent on the geometry, quantity and spectral nature of the illumination and the viewing environment. GTI products comply with this Standard that specifies the conditions for critical visual color appraisal for color matching.

RHEM Light Indicator

When attached to the border of a color proof or transparency, the RHEM Light Indicator, providing visual control of color viewing, will indicate whether all involved in the color evaluation chain are judging color accuracy with or without a 5000K standard light source.

FM 100 Hue Color Vision Test

Thousands of professionals evaluate and communicate color every day, even though nearly 10% are color deficient and many are unaware of it. The Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test is the industry standard for determining color discrimination and identifying color deficiencies.
