K Hand Coater

The KHC offers a simple manner of applying coatings onto many substrates, including paper, board, plastic film, foil, metal plates, glass plates and wood. Two or more coatings can be applied side-by-side in a single operation, making the system ideal for comparing products. Download video.

K Control Coater

The K Control Coater provides quick, highly accurate and repeatable samples of surface coatings and is recommended where repeatability is essential (for example, for computer color matching) or when a number of operators are involved. Coatings are applied by wire-wound bars. Download video.

K Printing Proofer

Using gravure or flexo inks, high-quality proofs are produced quickly with a KPP. It features electronically engraved printing plates and variable printing speeds. Two or more inks may be printed simultaneously for comparison, simulating printing of 160, 200, 240, 300, 360, 400 lpi. Download video.

K303 Multi-Head Coater

This unit is similar to, but bigger than, both the K Control Coater and the K Printing Proofer. The K303 can be supplied with a bar coating head and flexo or gravure printing heads. All coating / printing heads are fully interchangeable within minutes. Two or more inks can be printed at one time.

Manual KLOX Proofer

Use this unit to apply flexo inks and other fluid coatings onto any substrate to produce repeatable proofs that closely resemble conventional flexo printing. Includes engraved anilox rollers for controlled film thickness and repeatable ink density. QCH engraved rollers available. Download video.

Automatic KLOX Proofer

This unit ensures constant speed and pressure to produce highly accurate and repeatable flexo proofs. It is recommended where repeatability is critical (such as for computer color matching) or where a number of operators are involved. QCH engraved rollers are available. Download video.

Esiproof

This portable hand unit produces solid or halftone flexo proofs quickly and economically. It is unique in its use of a doctor blade on the anilox roller which enables proofing of fine tones and higher viscosity inks, such as UV curing flexo inks. QCH engraved rollers are available.

Flexiproof 100

This high-speed, operator-friendly machine is for the production of proofs using water, solvent or UV flexographic inks. Ideal for quality control, presentation samples, computer color matching, research and development. Also available with a UV curing unit.

Wire-Wound Bars

We supply a wide range of metering bars (which can be chrome-plated to extend their life) to fit any production machine. They are manufactured to the highest quality standards with accurate winding for excellent repeatability, providing predictable coatings at a minimal cost. Theory. Availability.

Rotary Koater

A pilot printing, coating and laminating machine accepting web widths up to 12"/305mm, with variable speed from .4-90m/min. Used for small-scale production of specialty materials, as a pilot coating machine and an R&D tool to test different formulations, substrates and processes. Download video.

VCM-300

The Versatile Converting Machine is used for R&D and pilot and production applications in a wide range of industries such as security, medical dressings and diagnostics, LCD displays and polymeric semiconductors. Every machine is custom-designed for specific customer applications.

Paste Ink Proofer

For fast, repeatable color matching of litho, web offset and letterpress inks. It is unique in its use of an automatic ink metering system, eliminating the need to weigh or measure ink samples. Interchangeable engraved rollers are used to produce proofs of various ink densities. Download video.

Orange Proofer

The Orange Proofer was developed for offset ink quality control applications, such as generating color strips to check the quality of the ink on the substrate before using it on the press, to check color, ink penetration, ink drying time, ink density and ink setoff.

Little Joe Proofing Press

Available in two models. Model H is a compact unit developed for color matching by printing ink manufacturers and offset printers, affording quick wash-up and change-over from color to color. Model HD is a two-color model, recommended for two-color prints and to check trapping.

Paste Ink Hand Coater

This unit provides a fast, accurate and easy manner to proof inks and coatings on a variety of printing stocks. It is available with a polyurethane roller recommended for oil-based paste inks or a Buna-N roller recommended for UV-curable inks. Packaged in a black walnut storage box.
